This week we are starting our unit on Order of Operations - unfortunately this has nothing to do with the popular 80's board game but I still thought it was a pretty good picture!
Order of operations just means the order in which we complete a mathematical operation. It has been described in many ways including some of the following:
and there are others...
Basically they all boil down to the mean the same thing - just using different language. We need to understand order of operations so we can calculate math equations correctly. This is something you will come to rely on heavily as your learning progresses.
